Anti-vibration system

STIHL has a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.

Easy2start™

The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL® outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL® products fast and easy. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start.

Unilaterally sharpened blade

Electronic ignition

Fully covered electronic ignition ensures reliable starting and trouble-free engine operation. The high ignition voltage range ensures a stable ignition spark and a long spark burn. This leads to better fuel combustion and lowers exhaust emissions.

Manual fuel pump

A hand fuel pump can be used to pump fuel into the carburetor by applying thumb pressure. This reduces the number of pulls on the starter cable after a long break in the tool’s operation.

Single lever control

The choke, starting throttle, operation, and shutdown are integrated into a single lever. Pressing the lever to the stop position switches off the engine. When the machine is ready to start again, the lever automatically returns to the Operation position. For a cold start, the lever must be moved to the Cold Start position (at the same time as the accelerator lever is activated). When the engine is started and the throttle is applied, the lever automatically moves from Cold Start to Operation. In this way, the possibility of engine fuel saturation during a cold start is essentially eliminated.
