This lightweight hedge trimmer features professional-grade cutting power.
The STIHL HS 56 hedge trimmer is the ideal balance of power and portability for professional users. Its 24” cutting blade is supported by a remarkably lightweight design, adding comfort and control to those extended cutting and pruning jobs. This hedge trimmer features an optimized gearbox, providing long machine life even in heavy use. The HS 56 is not only easy to service thanks to its data port, but also due to a modified grease opening on the gearbox. It comes with a blade tip guard that protects the blades, helping to keep them sharper for longer while making it easier to trim low-growing ground cover plants.
STIHL HS 56 features
Built in the USA
A majority of STIHL gasoline-powered units sold in the United States are built in the United States from domestic and foreign parts and components.
Anti-vibration system
STIHL has a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.
Double-sided blades
The dual-ground blade system provides a clean cut and is ideal for cutting through stronger, thicker branches.
Long-term filtration system
Ensures long air filter service intervals and effectively protects the engine.
ErgoStart
With STIHL ErgoStart, there is an additional coil spring between the starter spool and the crankshaft, which stretches against the compression pressure on the piston. If the spring force is greater than the compression pressure, the crankshaft will spin and the engine will start. The user starts the tool comfortably without disturbing power spikes.
2-MIX motor
The new 2-MIX motor is designed specifically for the new generation of secateurs. Low emissions and efficiency. High performance and efficient work even when used to cut thicker branches.
Unilaterally sharpened blade
The double-sided knife is sharpened on one side. Special blade geometry ensures high cutting performance.
Tank cap for easy opening/closing
Patented special caps for fuel and oil tank. Power tools with such caps can be opened and closed quickly, without force, and without any tools.
Vertical hanging slot
The built-in hanging slot allows for easy storage when not in use.
Electronic ignition
Fully covered electronic ignition ensures reliable starting and trouble-free engine operation. The high ignition voltage range ensures a stable ignition spark and a long spark burn. This leads to better fuel combustion and lower exhaust emissions.
Manual fuel pump
A hand fuel pump can be used to pump fuel into the carburetor by applying thumb pressure. This reduces the number of pulls on the starter cable after a long break in the tool’s operation.
Single lever control
The choke, starting throttle, operation, and shutdown are integrated into a single lever. Pressing the lever to the stop position switches off the engine. When the machine is ready to start again, the lever automatically returns to the Operation position. For a cold start, the lever must be moved to the Cold Start position (at the same time as the accelerator lever is activated). When the engine is started and the throttle is applied, the lever automatically moves from Cold Start to Operation. In this way, the possibility of engine fuel saturation during a cold start is essentially eliminated.
