Husqvarna 540i XP is equivalent to a 40cc professional gas saw fitted with a BLi300 battery. This powerful and efficient saw is an ideal tool for professionally oriented users who want a lightweight, high-performance rear-handle chainsaw. There’s also a top handle version – T540i XP. The saw is perfect for the removal of small and mid-sized trees and delivers all the benefits of battery power without compromising cutting performance. Plus, the integrated connectivity makes it easy to keep track of usage stats, service history, and last known location in the Husqvarna Fleet Services app.
Pros & Cons
- Reliable
- Low noise
- Lightweight
- Easy to use
- High build quality
- No major downsides
Conclusion
The stuff you can pull with this saw is mindboggling, considering it’s a cordless powered one. People are even felling trees with it. Though I’m not sure you want to buy it for that task alone, it does show the saw’s potential. More likely you’ll be cutting firewood with it, which it does perfectly fine.
Design
Flip-up tank cap
The flip-up oil tank cap is easy to open and close, even with gloves.
Intuitive key pad
It couldn’t be any simpler. There are just two buttons. One for power and the second for savE mode.
Retained bar nuts
Prevents losing the bar nuts.
One battery fits all
The battery pack is designed for demanding, long-lasting use for products in Husqvarna’s Battery Series line-up. This allows you to quickly switch the same battery between different product applications and keep working.
Gear up for nonstop operation
Husqvarna battery accessories allow you to carry on and get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Durability
Low maintenance
Unlike gas chainsaws, this one doesn’t need any fuel refilling. There are also fewer parts to serve and an electronically controlled drive system means less downtime and low operation costs.
Weatherproof
The chainsaw is IPX4 rain resistant, which makes it long-lasting and you can use it all year round in all weather conditions.
Safety
Inertia activated chain brake
In the case of kickback, the inertia mechanism will stop the chain from running. This significantly reduces the risk of injury.
Performance
High chain speed
For fast and smooth cutting.
Automatic shutdown
The saw automatically shuts down after 3 minutes of idling. This prolongs the battery life and lowers the risk of injuries when left unattended. If the chain brake is activated, the shutdown occurs after 30 seconds.
Efficient brushless motor
Husqvarna’s in-house developed, advanced brushless motor is 25% more efficient than a standard brush motor. This means that the motor provides high and consistent torque.
SavE
A power-saving mode. Depending on conditions, you can choose between normal or savE mode, for maximum power or maximum runtime.
